I'm dating Mr SIM King Yaw in less than 24 hours' time!

Time flies..

It's approximately four months from the day I left London. I thought it would be tough to spend four months on my own. But I guess King has been around me, mentally. Although there were difficult times, the thrills from anticipated meet ups on skype managed to purge all hard feelings away.

I'm so excited now!

The Recollection of Class 2/4

Dinner at NYDC, Holland Village..
Chilling out at Wala Wala..
Ah Gong, WC and YeeHongMich & Yak
Jeff & Feli Guiwen & I
and lastly, girls shot
and guys shot
I thought it would be a bad idea. After all, so many people back up at the last minute. Fortunately, we had a strength of 13, out of 30? (some come & go).. Otherwise, we could have called off the plan. But it turned out pretty well. We had so much laughters reminscing the good old days... :) I miss secondary school days!!!

Pssst: I'm totally impressed with Jeff's memory.

Headache

I guess I need to de-stress again. Work, lifestyle, family.

Guis' Day

Celebrated Xin's birthday over Hi-tea buffet at L'espresso in Goodwood Park hotel. The buffet is reasonably priced, with a satisfying variety of food which would not cause over-eating. There's a sandwich section, a big biscuit box, some savoury snacks, scones and cakes, chocolate fondue that's never a miss in hi-tea buffets, fruits and mini tarts. The desserts are average, but I'm impressed with the sandwiches, especially the shrimp croissant. I personally favour the sandwiches and scones section since I'm a bread-lover. The only regret is there's no durian buffet promotion.

Lemon meringue & fruit cakes
(I have been very curious how meringue taste like & now I know how awesome it is!)
Clockwise from the left: Mango cheesecake, eclairs & mocha cakes
And finally, King's favourite drink! :)
(Order this after hi-tea to get myself into the "welcome-back-darling- mood" since he'll be back in a week's time!)

I havent seen the Guis for a very long time since it's really difficult to get everyone out at the same time. Xin's birthday celebration is a great excuse!

Some recent updates of them: Deez's ensemble makes her look different today, giving her an elegant touch, instead of her usual casual & sweet style. Ping is in her usual tai-tai disposition. Xia, the usual food-enthusiast didnt perform up to standards today. But she is still as cute and fun-loving as ever. Xin got her new house and should be getting married in 2 years' time! I'm so excited for her, I volunteered to be the bridesmaid! Haha..

clockwise round the table: Xin, Xia, Ping, Deez & me!

Birthday kisses for the birthday girl...

Perhaps, going to a hi-tea buffet is best when out with a group of friends. A typical buffet meal makes me get bored and bloated within an hour. This one made us stayed 4 hours and we didnt even have the urge to leave!

The End: Us.. ..and the red carpet birthday girl

I'm looking forward to the next outing! Just that I'm not sure how long it will take!

My memory is failing me.

Am I mentally tired?

After half a year of work and I find myself overwhelmed by the symptoms of amnesia. I forgot if I shampooed my hair. I forgot what companies I've just did. I forgot what time I'm suppose to talk to King.

So many things to remember, with my Pentium 1 processor. It's time for an upgrade!

Friday..

Supposedly a day to end work on time, meet friends for a dinner, followed by a drink at a nearby cosy pub before heading home to snore your way till the sun shines high in the sky.. That would be a perfect way to spend my time on a typical Friday night.

This Friday is a stressful one indeed. Manager is here to review files in the late afternoon but I had already arranged to meet Reny after work. She had wanted to visit my place since CNY but we were too busy back then. Eventually, Manager finished reviewing my files only at 715pm and I was suppose to meet Reny at Chinese Garden MRT station at 730pm! I quickily smsed her, but she already left home. Unfortunately, I broke my records this time round, letting someone wait for me for a FULL 1.5hours! Apparently, my last record was 1hr, letting King waiting for me at a cafe to study together. But that was 3 years ago.

When Manager finally left, I sprung up and took a taxi home. Usually, I would be pissed with reckless taxi drivers who switch lanes and cut corners. Today, I was actually grateful that the taxi driver is doing it for me.

My meet-ups with Reny had been very irregular. It could be once in a year or even 3 years, and she was the one who had been taking initiative texting me, asking me questions. For that, I am really grateful. Otherwise, we could have lost contact. Fortunately, talking to her has been comfortable owing to the fact that I have known her for 14 years!

P/s: I'm proud of this friendship!

My fun-filled weekend.

Sunday

It's a tiring day..

Wakeboarding

First few attempts in the first trial were really bad. I had problem standing up and all I could do was to balance on my bent knee before collapsing into a splash! But I made some acheivement on the second trial. I manage to stand up and surf around before I fell. It wasnt an easy task, but somehow, those experts seem to do it so effortlessly.

The weather was terrible today, as it rained throughout the 5 hours. The unforgettable moments were when we were shivering due to the cold weather and Wendy & I had to hold our pee for few hours. The two of us ran all the way to the ladies the moment we reached the dock!

The sea appeared rather scary, especially when it started drizzling during my turn. Water tasted salty, and the gush of water entering my nose the moment I dropped made me really sick.

On a whole, it was a worthy experience except that it's an expensive sports to indulge in.
Movie
Watched "Leap Years" with Ting later on in the evening. A very touching show indeed.

Ting changed alot ever since her broke-up with XX. So much matured, sometime I felt I'm way behind. Anyway, I'm glad that she moved on. Could see her so much cheery than few months ago.

Saturday
Durian feast

Went Chinatown with Ade after yoga class as we couldn't think of cheap places to eat in town. Ended up eating durians after lunch. Haha.. That's my virgin consumption of "mao shan wang" durian and I think I spoilt my stomach way too much. It is probably gonna demand durian of equal quality next time..
